Having a hard time leaving Seller Feedback in new format
Even since EBAY changed the format of their feedback page, I've been confused by it. I've written to them, directly, and I don't seem to be able to communicate with someone who understands what I'm trying to say.
In previous times, the "Leave Seller Feedback" page was entirely dedicated to just that: Seller Feedback. All of the language on the page prompted a buyer to rate different aspects of the seller's post/process, etc.
The updated Seller Feedback page is now confusingly written (seems to me) to be partially about the seller (and you can't leave the types of details you used to be able to comment on), and partially about the product, itself.
I don't really like leaving product feedback, but I especially like leaving seller feedback when someone has done a great job. But now, the feedback page has only three categories, and one of the is entitled, "Tell us more about this item." Previously, you used to be able to WRITE comments about the seller. Now, there is only two fields of click-on-the-answer feedback. One is "rate the seller positive-neutral-negative," and the other is, "Rate the details ." But the only details you can choose stars for are "item description" and "shipping time."
Furthermore, the page literally will not enable the "Leave Feedback" area, unless something is written (even gibberish!) in the field where comments can be typed. And, the field that can be typed-in is entitled: "Tell us more about this item," and there are suggestions about what to write about including:
- Quality
- Condition
- Value
- Appearance
The above features don't seem to be really Seller-specific. They're much more about the product, itself. So, I haven't wanted to mistakenly post a review of a seller that was supposed to be a review of an item, and vice-versa. EBAY keeps sending me messages, hounding me about leaving seller feedback, but I just don't really know how to do it, anymore. That's my rant. Anyone got any help for me????????

Mentor1 year agoI agree that the new feedback comment page is confusing.
Put your feedback comment for the seller into the field that says "Tell us more about this item". That is the comment that will appear on the seller's feedback page. You can discuss any aspect of the transaction you want as long as you do not violate policy, and you do not have to rate the item itself.
The "rate this item" star rating is entirely voluntary. If you use that, your rating will be averaged into all the other ratings and it will appear on the product page, and may appear in the search results of items linked to that product page by eBay product number.
