Has anyone ever been denied a refund or help from eBay for an item they claim was delivered to you ?
I opened a claim with eBay for an item I have not received and also opened a claim with PayPal but eBay closed my claim because I opened a claim with PayPal and PayPal closed my claim because I had a claim with eBay and they both said it was delivered but I have not received it ! The shipper left info saying it was delivered to my mailbox on Saturday but we are closed on Saturdays and we do not have a mailbox! All of our mail is delivered into our office ! This is completely frustrating!

Mentor2 years agoYou cannot open multiple cases for the same item. You should have started with eBay, then the funding source. If tracking shows delivered to your zip, this is not a 'claim that it was delivered to you'. Tracking showing delivered is a fact and you need to contact the USPS to see the GPS info on delivery. It is up to they buyer to provide a safe place for delivery and not the responsibility of eBay or the seller. A refund is not indicated when the item has been delivered.

OP2 years agoWell it should be eBay and the sellers responsibility to use a carrier that will deliver the products that they sell to the proper address and report the proper information back to them ! The item was found to have been delivered to the wrong address and should not have been my responsibility to find their mistake ! It is their responsibility to deliver to the correct address and if it is undeliverable on a certain day it is to be held until the next business day not delivered to some random address !

·2 years agoeBay will believe the carrier rather than the buyer (or seller). If the online tracking report for the tracking number shows delivery to the same zipcode (5 digit) as what the buyer gave for the shipping address, it will presume it is to that shipping address. That presumption is rebuttable by documentation from the carrier that it was not delivered to that address (the document does not have to give the actual address but merely state it was delivered elsewhere than [your shipping address] since there might be privacy issues). This covers errors by the carrier in mis-delivery (the carrier can tell this by matching the GPS coordinates of the delivery scan with the facts on the ground) and a scamming seller who sends a low value package to another address in your zipcode. See here about appealing the decision if the carrier can document such a problem: https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/appeal-ebays-decision-return-missing-item-buyers?id=4039&st=12&pos=2&query=Appeal%20eBay%27s%20decision%20about%20a%20return%20or%20missing%20item%20for%20buyers&intent=appeal&docId=HELP1308
On the other hand, neither eBay nor the seller is responsible for the theft or other disappearance of the package from your porch, doorstep, or other place at your address. You can try your homeowners or renters insurance agent to see if that would be covered at what deductible.

OP2 years agoI have opened a claim with the USPS on this as well and am waiting for their response. I have never had a problem before this and EBay or PayPal has always had my back on delivery problems in the past . The seller wouldn’t even respond to me . I spend a lot of money on eBay for business purposes but I will be seriously be considering other options if this is the way business will be conducted by them .
