Has anyone else been getting charged exactly $4.00 too much for USPS Ground shipping labels on eBay?
Ever since the first week of August, I have noticed that about one out of twelve USPS Ground Advantage shipping labels that I purchase on eBay are priced exactly $4.00 too high. It doesn't matter which browser I use. This is an intermittent problem with eBay, unheard of by customer service the first time I contacted them about it.
The obvious workaround is to purchase those shipping labels through Click 'n Ship at usps.com, but that is more time consuming.
I'm posting this here to see if anyone at eBay has heard of the problem four weeks after I first brought it to their attention.

The $4.00 is the exact amount for an irregular package on the eBay shipping page. Several Sellers have reported that the box to indicate you are shipping an irregular package sometimes get checked automatically.
Because this is a new addition to the shipping label page, Sellers will need to double check that box isn't checked if they are shipping a standard package.

OP11 months agoThank you so much! You identified the cause of my problem when eBay customer service could not. I looked at those labels that would have cost $4.00 more on eBay than on Click 'n Ship, and eBay had the package type listed as a long tube, not a standard package.
