Handling return request from buyer
I'm new to selling on eBay. I'm skeptical of fraud. Somebody had made a purchase which is going through authentication currently. They contacted me on another item I'm selling to ask for a refund for an item they already paid for and purchased. It seems odd that they didn't contact me on the item actually sold but through a different item to ask for a return. Seems sketchy should I authorize the refund? And why would they go through a different item isn't there a way to contact the seller through the item they purchased? Thanks for your help

Mentor2 years ago@fancylb68 EDIT TO ADD> I just took a look at your sold listing and the shoes are most likely going to be refused by the authenticity center because you listed them as new with defects. That means NEW with Manufacturer defect... NOT used once. The shoes should have been listed as USED. If they are refused then eBay will of course require to issue a refund and the shoes are sent back to you. The buyer might have noticed what I did in the description.
Buyers can not message you on items that are being Authenticated. This is to help prevent fraud and taking the sale off site.
There is no reason for you to refund this buyer as they can't open a return case on an item that hasn't even been authenticated yet.
