handling fee not included on calculated shipping and eBay is charging less than I am paying usps. How can i fix this

I am a top rated plus seller for years and years. I have switched many of my listings to calculated since usps changed how they charge for ground advantage. I included a $1.50 handling fee to each calculation according to my shipping policy. eBay is not charging the buyer the $1.50. Also, eBay's charges are different in many cases than what usps charges me through the eBay shipping labels. I have seen that some times when I find my listings doing a search, the listing states I am in Colorado. I moved to Illinois 7 months ago and all my address show that I am in Illinois. I used eBay chat and after an hour, all he could do was tell me a tech would call me in 48 to 72 hours. Frustrating.

As for the location being incorrect on some of your listings updating the shipping address in account settings does NOT update active listings or drafts.
You can use Bulk Edit to update your location on your listings.
How to use bulk edit:
1. Go to this active listings page : https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/active
2. Put a checkmark next to all items. ( I would just select all so you don't have to hunt for the incorrect ones)
3. Select edit from the top of the list
4. Select all items again
5. Select edit fields on the upper left>location> edit and submit

@comics-scifi-collectibles has provided the solution to correcting your problem with item location. When the item location is incorrect, your shipping costs to the buyer will be incorrect.
The incorrect item location on your listings is what is causing your confusion over the pricing you are seeing.
To add...
Your handling fee is not charged to the buyer as a separate cost. It is added to the shipping cost and shown as one total.
eBay gives you a discounted rate on shipping, so it is less than what USPS charges over-the-counter. You can pass along all or part of that discount to your buyer. To check your current setting, see this link:

OPAug 9, 2026 at 9:59 PMThank you. I did as suggested and I selected all 117 listings but it would only allow me to apply the edited location to 101 of them. Any reason why? The default location was my current accurate location. What about the other 16 listings?

OPAug 9, 2026 at 10:32 PMThey were in there. Any idea how it randomly assigned Colorado to some of my listings and not others. About half of these are items I know that I listed after finding them in Illinois and I had never sold one in Colorado? I will be more diligent now looking to see which state the listing identifies.
