halloween buckets 3 of 10 items ordered were cracked but no photos

10 buckets in 2 stacks of 5 each .. 3 inside 1 stack were slightly cracked on rim .. they were wrapped only in plastic wrap/bag .. left cracked ones in wrap .. since I am partially disabled my son stops to put trash/recyclables out to curb .. I didn't see he had taken & thrown out buckets w/wrap debris .. trash gone so I didn't get photos of cracked ones.

Contacted seller .. since there are a lot of scammers in the world he said no photos no refund on cracked ones .. This is a first for me not having photos of damaged items. Should Ebay's guarantee policy cover this situation even w/o photos?

eBay's policy wants photos to be shared with the seller. Although they cannot require it this can make it harder to get a refund and the seller can deduct from the refund for not proving the items were damaged.

The shipping carriers now require photos to be provided with any insurance claim and also the items be available for inspection along with the packaging materials. The USPS did not formerly require this but they do now.
