Hacked Account Ebay giving me the run-around
I had my account hacked on "ebay" not on chase bank. The ebay account paying source was chase but chase was not hacked ebay was, the hackers put the purchase in the hidden area of ebay. You can hide orders if you do not want them publicly listed in your account.
I have a letter / email from an ebay customer service representative that lists the hacked orders and verifies they are fraudulent. Ebay is claiming its an issue with Chase but how could it be? Since the hack was on Ebay they should refund my money.
When I call ebay the tell me to call chase.
I guess I am going ot have to take them to small claims. I tried calling their customer service / fraud line and the front line puts me on hold for a supervisor, last two times I called I sat on hold for an hour w/o any supervisor answering.
I think ebay has gone downhill I have been member almost since its inception I would not trust them with any information that is used to pay for bids.
