I made a purchase on ebay of a resell item, shortly after I received a phone call, person asked if I have just made a purchase with my credit card, I asked him to identify his company and person, him mumble some **bleep**.
I told him it was none of his business, he said to was, then end the call.
Only place I used any card is ebay.....To All eBay appears to have allowed our banking and personal info to be hacked.

Mentor1 year agoA few things to know. No seller actually sees how you paid for an item. They only know that the item was paid for. Your payment information is not passed on to the seller.
eBay itself does not actually have any of your payment information. The company they hired to run their Managed Payments System collects and protects all financial information that you provide to eBay. This company also runs payment processing for many other online sales sites so is very experienced with protecting information.
It sounds like this was a fishing attempt by someone to see if they could get your information.
