H how to get payment funds released to me after sale
I have not been on eBay for several years period about weeks ago, I sold an item. I shipped it myself at the post office because I didn’t have a printer to print out the eBay mailing form. It has been two weeks and I still have not received payment for the items. I do have the receipt from the post office but don’t know how to provide that to eBay. The other problem is I no longer use my old email address and I’ve changed to a new one. Everything seems to be tied to my old address. When I’ve tried to change the address, it tells me that the address is already in use. How do I get my Monday? I really appreciate anything you can do. Let me know if you need any more information.

OP3 months agoI didn’t know that I could ship it through eBay/USPS and so I just paid shipping cost myself. I added the shipping number to the listing after sale closed. The problem is, I am now using a different email address than I used to. I haven’t used the old Email in 20+ years. When I try to change to a new email, the one I use now, I get a message that they are not able to verify it because someone already is using that me! It’s been 2+ weeks since the buyer paid For the item, but I can’t get the funds released.

That sounds frustrating. Here is how to see when you will get paid:
SHORT VERSION
There are a couple of steps the money goes through.
- Processing
- Payment Holds (if any)
- Payout, which happens automatically after any holds.
Once you are established on eBay, the money will reach your bank account in a couple of days.
New sellers usually need to wait until delivery to get paid.
MORE DETAILS
You can see all transactions on your account here: https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/transactions
1) check here to see if the payment is "Processing" or ready for Payout (Available)
2) Try the "Check Payment Holds" button here. It may have more specific details https://www.ebay.com/help/action?topicid=4155
- "New or infrequent sellers will experience transaction holds while learning best selling practices. This helps sellers become established and build a strong selling history on eBay. New sellers typically experience holds for up to 30 days, although sometimes it may be longer"

3) When eBay sends the Payout, it is 1-3 days before the payment is in your bank account.

You must have a separate eBay account with the new email address.
Each eBay account needs a different email address.
Either recover the 'other' eBay account and close it
Or
create a new and functional email address for your current account. don't sell without good security (cell phone and email verified)

There must be another eBay account connected with your 'new email address'.
You can't attach it to this eBay account without clearing out that old account - and it may take weeks.
I, myself, would add a functional email account to my eBay account, at least until you can add your desired email address.

-- You should add the tracking number that was used when you shipped your item so you have eBay seller protection, and can get paid.
The tracking number will be printed on the receipt (USPS tracking number is usually a 22-digit number)
- Go to the Sold section of My eBay. https://www.ebay.com/mys/sold
- From More actions, select Add tracking number.
- Add, edit or delete the tracking number and the carrier.
- Select Submit.

Your other email address may be connected to a separate eBay account.
If you can log in to the other account, using your email address and forgot password, you may be able to close that account.
Meanwhile, I would add a working email account and cell phone number to your current account.
