I have a small business making traditional walking and working sticks. Early on I relied heavily on the Ebay platform for sales. Many of my sticks feature handles made from horn. All of a sudden around ten years ago Ebay suddenly removed all my horn handled sticks from sale. When I questioned the reason, I was told that they were created from an endangered species. I pointed out that the UK was awash with sheep but to no avail.
I was forced to cease using Ebay as a selling platform, but countless other sellers continued to post similar products and still do. It is ironic that there is, at the moment, a seller of horn handled sticks from various makers which include some of mine. Those sticks still have my original paperwork and contact details clearly on show. This seller has multiple horn handled sticks on sale along with numerous others sellers. I have been trying to contact Ebay to clarify their original decision without success. Any Ideas?
