Guest Checkout Paid, Account Suspended, Limbo
Hi Everyone,
Im new in eBay and I made a purchase here for the first time. I opted to buy the item via guest checkout thinking it shouldn’t be a problem as I always used to buy stuff via guest checkout at other websites. The reason being is I’m from Sweden and I only intend to buy this one item while I’m visiting the US. The order went through. My bank card got deducted the amount for the item plus $15 shipping to my Airbnb here in the US. I decide to make that guest checkout account an actual account by signing up as it seemed easy when they emailed me regarding it. The next day I get an email saying my account has been flagged and ultimately permanently suspended. I’m currently in limbo. I have no access to that account. I can’t request a refund because I don’t have access to the account. I can’t even view my purchase cause it’ll show as an error and the webpage doesn’t exist. When I contact customer support both times they disconnect with me because the order linked with that account is a suspended account. At this point I just want my money back. It’s as if they took my money, closed my account and said we don’t know who you are and don’t want any of your business. I need help. Thank you in advance

When you purchase as a guest on Ebay, you do not make a "guest checkout account", you just make the purchase as a guest, no account involved. There is NO account to be suspended when you purchase as a guest.
When you bought the item as a guest, Ebay sent you a guest order confirmation email, with the subject line “Order Confirmedâ€. You can use this email to view your order details, contact the seller, track your order, or start a return if you need to send your item back.
You stated in your post that you are from Sweden, but your Ebay profile indicates you are registered in the Philippines.

OP2 years agoHi! Yes I initially ordered it as guest and shortly after eBay sent me an email if I wish to create an account for that specific order. I did create one but didn’t bother really fixing up the profile more than putting my name. Shortly after I got an email from eBay that my account has been suspended. So I can’t view, track or process a return for my order. So upon clicking on that order confirmed email I would get a dead link or “missing pageâ€.
Had they cancelled the order completely for whatever reason (ex. My account being suspicious) and the payment didn’t go through then fine. But they cancelled the order and charged me the full amount of the item+shipping. And can’t retrieve that.
As for where I’m from. I’m from Sweden but have family in the Philippines. Wherein I make orders too as well.

You have to log out of your Ebay account and then find the order confirmation email and click on the order details.
If you live in Sweden, why is your Ebay account registered in the Philippines?

OP2 years agoAs I mentioned earlier, upon clicking on the order details for my confirmed order it re directs me to a dead page or missing link. “We looked everywhere. Looks like this page is missing.†This is both when logged in and logged out. Side note, My newly made account from guest checkout is not accessible.
Because I live in the Philippines also half the year. As mentioned I have family there. Don’t see how this is related though.
