guarantee on a product
I bought an airconditioner motor with pump that had a year warranty. I bought it back on August 23. It was for a 1969 torino. It was for an antique car that never gets driven . so it was never even used till this Easter Sunday for a car show. About 30 minutes into the drive it started making a terrible sound. I have contacted the seller who confirmed the warranty but said I have to go through ebay for the return. I have about gone crazy trying to figure out how to contact ebay to get this done. Is there anyway I can call the to talk to them in person? I have spent hours on ebay trying to contact them and just end up in loops that go nowhere.

Mentor2 years agoIf you purchased a third-party warranty, contact the warranty service directly.
eBay's money back guarantee, which is not a warranty, only applies in the first thirty days after receipt of the item.
Manufacturer's warranties typically only apply if you purchase the item from an authorized dealer; check with the manufacturer to see what your options are.
A warranty is only as good as the reputation of whoever offers it. A claim of a two year warranty made by a random seller on eBay is not worth much. Neither you nor eBay can force the seller to honor the warranty if the seller disappears or ignores you.
You may have some protection from PayPal or your payment method; PayPal and many credit cards may offer up to six months protection for your purchases.
