Greedy
I just sold a Burberry jacket for $499.00 EBay made 189.00 from the sale. I did promote it and I guess the fees etc.
What bugs me is the same day after paying me 322.00 of the 499.00 they said I owe them 6.00 for an add fee.
It really disgusts me how greedy they are . But choose to sell 0n EBAY.

Mentor1 week agoeBay is a business. Businesses exist to make money. The ad fee means you Promoted the item & Promoting is not free. It is however, voluntary, so if you don't want to promote, you don't have to & then you won't have to pay the ad fee. That said, it was likely the ad that brought in the buyer, so you have to balance what's the right choice for your business.

Presumably you researched eBay fees before you started selling, so the fee for this sale should not have been a surprise.
If you don't want to pay an ad fee, don't promote the item. That is entirely under your control.
