Greed/price gouging
Why do some people buy out things and price gouge. A 6 dollar box if Girl Scout cookies should not be sold for 100 dollars. I’m on fixed income and it makes me feel as if being on fixed income makes me ineligible for certain items. I have contacted GSA and suggested there should be no more online exclusives because it is not fair to the people if all of one item is bought out by greedies. Being on fixed income is NO EXCUSE to do this. Hard work is not something to be ashamed of.

Mentor3 years agoPeople do it because other people are willing to pay the price. It is not price gouging, it is supply and demand. (Gouging only applies to specific items during a declared emergency.)
If buyers would stop buying at the inflated prices, there would be no incentive for sellers to try to mark up the items to such outrageous prices.

Mentor3 years agoIf you are referring to the Girl Scout Cookies new Raspberry flavor, I have found them listed for $10 and less per box. And that was just before I posted this reply.
