Got taken
I bought an item and shipping charges which came to a total of $300, the package got hung up in the mail and arrived to my location. I got a $200 additional postage fee. The seller agreed to pay $150 of the $200 postage fee I accepted and he sent me a refund of the $150 plus applicable taxes after receiving the item the item was all broken up due to very poor packaging and now I’m left holding the bag for a total loss of $340, according to Ebay I was supposed to get a $300 return to make it right but after scanning all of the online eBay pages all I’m finding out is that it has been settled for the $150 plus applicable fees so I’m out $340 I felt this was a scam from the get-go. I was just too naïve to realize what was going on until it was too late

Mentor5 months ago@ldjohnknives Sorry you had a bad seller. The correct option for postage due is to Refuse the package. Postage due is the ONLY reason you can refuse a package and still be covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
You can still file a not as described RETURN request case. eBay can not make the seller refund anymore of the postage due amount but they can make the seller refund the amount you paid using eBay checkout.
The eBay Money Back Guarantee over rules the sellers return policy. You have 30 days from the date of delivery to file a not as described return request for most categories AND 3 days for Trading Cards.
Here's what you need to do:
Open a return with the reason doesn't match description or photos. OR arrived damaged.
Select the return item button on this page:
https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/return-item-refund?id=4041&st=
4 business days after filing the return request if the seller has not provided a return shipping label or a full refund then ask eBay to step in and help: https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/ask-ebay-to-step-in?id=4701
Let me know if you need to return an item to another country as there are additional steps required. The seller pays return shipping for an item that is not as described no matter where they are located.
