Got scammed what do I do :(

Question

Hi! I saw a listing for a camera and got excited and ended up purchasing it. As soon as I did the user deleted there account and listing and It says the item does not qualify for ebays buyer protection. I never received an item nor any good from this transaction and believe it to be either a loop-hole in the buyer protection. What should I do about losing out, how do I report this issue?

If so, you may be able to start an "item not received" claim on eBay.

If the item does not appear, you may be able to contact eBay directly to start a case on an item that has been removed from the site.

If you are not able file a claim with eBay, you may be able to file a claim with PayPal (if you used PayPal) or your credit card issuer. But generally it makes sense to start with eBay first, and only try other methods when eBay is unable to help.
