Mentor2 years ago@kneedeepinsheep If it's through an eBay MBG deny it. If it's a credit card charge back be sure to respond to it accordingly with tracking that shows delivery or other documentation as needed depending on the reason used in the refund request.

OP2 years agoThe buyer purchased the item November 9th, didn't try the item or check it out. It was a blender canister and now he says he didn't have a chance to use it before and just now discovered that it locked up and froze on him. The blender was working fine when I shipped it. It looks like I can only refund through eBay up to 90 days. Do I make him ship it back to me? He sent me a photo of the broken item but how do I know that it is the same one I shipped him? I feel like he should have examined the item when he received it and addressed the issue before the 90 days. Having said that, I don't want to run afoul of eBay.

Mentor2 years ago@kneedeepinsheep. Exactly. How do you know it's the same one. If it's an eBay refund request then deny it. You can't refund through eBay, the buyer can't leave feedback.
Is it a credit card charge back?

OP2 years agoNot from credit card company, the buyer messaged me. I sold this for almost 1/2 what others were selling for and took a low ball offer. There was a lot of back and forth at the time and I should have trusted my gut.
