Got a fake AirPod pro 3
I got an AirPod from a seller and it register with Apple but when something happen like a month later I went to the Apple Store and they preform a test on the AirPod they were fake. And I message the seller for a refund he denied it and said it was closed for refund plus eBay also said that person violated the terms of that product. And I can’t seem to get a hold of an agent to help me. And there is no phone number to contact eBay. Please help. Thank you.

If Apple told you it’s fake, don’t give up yet.
Go to your Purchase History (https://www.ebay.com/myb/PurchaseHistory), find that order, and try to open a case under “item not as described.” Sometimes it still lets you even after some time.
If you don’t see that option, go through eBay Help and request a callback or chat. Tell them clearly Apple confirmed it’s not genuine.
Don’t go back and forth with the seller anymore. This is on eBay now, especially with counterfeit items.
Act on it quickly - you still have a chance.
Also report the seller for selling counterfeit goods. eBay already flagged them, which helps your case.

OP4 months agoThank you. Just got off the phone with an agent. I told her that the device did register and a month later it started to have issue so I went to the store the tech there ran a test and it confirmed it was a fake and gave me a letter stating that and I provided the letter on the refund request and the eBay agent asked me to also put in a ticket for the situation and I also uploaded a copy of that letter. Keeping my fingers crossed !

OP4 months agoeBay rep said my refund window had been closed and to make a complaint with the ftc. They expect ppl to buy a product and bring it to the store to confirm it’s real who would buy things and bring it to a store to confirm it’s real. Only time ppl bring it to a store for repair if there is something wrong with the device after they run a diagnosis on it and for this case it turn out fake. So I’m at a loss and the seller is giggling I’m sure.
