Google: ebay closing down
Is it true, ebay is closing down. After reading this on google, I want to cancel my order. WHY Ebay and Parts Geek auto parts are not publishing their phone-numbers. No body at Ebay and Parts Geek to talk to, I want to file a complaint.

Remember the ‘lockdowns’ brought about by the COVID pandemic in 2020?
Many companies sent their Customer Service staff to work from home at that time … meaning that they could no longer be reached by customers directly by phone. [This included eBay and Amazon.] We had to request a ‘callback’ from eBay or Amazon if we wanted to speak to an agent.
This still is true for both eBay and Amazon. There are no published phone numbers for these companies. We still have to request a callback … using a link on their respective websites.
eBay is NOT closing down. We can request a callback if we need to speak to a CS rep. Most of the time we can get easier/faster help by asking our questions on this Board. It’s where I go when I have a question. I haven’t needed to talk to an eBay employee for over 15 years.
What kind of ‘complaint’ do you wish to file? We can direct you to the appropriate location. 🙂

OP2 years agoTalking by phone people don``t transmit viruses. It is not a good excuse. Reliable companies must anser phone calls when customers need information or to file a complaint. Not everybody prefer sending emails. I got the feeling that Parts-Geek and Ebay are playing game with people when I red on google about Ebay closing down and when I red Parts-Geek`s reply ``we do not ship to Canada``
At that moment I felt that I am dealing with unreliable companies. How could Ebay and Parts-Geek accepted my order and my money and can`t ship to Canada, my address is in Canad. I had the feeling to contact consumer protection and better business bureau in US to complain.
Therefore I wanted to cancel the order and get my money back because I lost trust with both companies. It is not question of money $ 116.00 it is my prencipel, I don`t like to ....

OP2 years agoFew days ago, ater reading at google Ebay is closing, I visited Parts-Geek webpage and asked question ``chat`` do you ship to Canada, they answered ``No, we do not ship to Canada.`` they have my Canadian address and accepted my order and then, they say `we do not ship to Canada`` and tell me that the part is on its way. Someting is wrong in this order.
At that moment I felt that I am dealing with unreliable companies. All I want is to get my money back. I know if I don`t get my money soon, I will never get it and the part will never be shipped.

Most sellers do not leave feedback if they do not intend to ship the item to the buyer.
Go to your Purchase History and click on Order Details next to the item title to see if the latest estimated date of delivery has already passed.
IF/WHEN the latest estimated date of delivery has already passed by at least 1 day, you have up to 30 days past estimated date of delivery to file a Refund Request:
Go to your My Ebay page >> Purchase history
If the seller does not respond after 3 days, you can ask Ebay to step in to help you.

OP2 years agoI order the part June 4, delivery date is June 20. The item is not shipped yet. Can I cancel the order and get a refund.

No. You cannot cancel your order.

Mentor2 years agoBuyers cannot actually cancel their purchases unless the seller agrees to the cancellation. Since the estimated delivery date is June 20th you will not be able to open an "Item not received" case until one day after this date. The the seller must prove with tracking that the item has been delivered or is still in transit. If they cannot do this then eBay can force a refund.

OP2 years agoAfter reading Parts-Geek`s comment that they don``t ship to Canada, I red on google Ebay is closing down. I tried to call them, no phone number is publishe. How they run their businesses. I am fetup talking to machine. Therefore I wanted to cancel my order and ask for refund, i've wasted too much time for the past wseeks trying to get part for my car that I can`t get in Canada. thank you

You do not have a valid reason to cancel your order.
The seller has already left you positive feedback, so the item is probably on it's way to you. I don't see that the seller does not ship to Canada. Where do you see that?

No, Ebay is not "closing down".
Don't believe everything you read on Google.
Why do you need to contact the seller & Ebay? What kind of complaint to you want to file?
