Hello! Has anyone experienced an ebay agent requiring gift cards for payments over 500$? I inquired after a golf cart and when I received the invoice the payment was method was via gift cards only. No ability to pay via ebay platform. Thinking scam!

It is a SCAM!!!
You are NOT dealing with an Ebay "agent", you are dealing with a criminal trying to steal your money.
Ebay has nothing to do with sales from ads found on other websites.
No legitimate Ebay seller would ever require payment with gift cards. The invoice you received was from the thief, NOT Ebay!

OP2 years agoThank you! I felt like it was! Thought it was so strange and first thought was no way! Initially was excited as I knew ebay has a secure payment platform. When I received the invoice I knew that wasn't right!
