Going on since February...Buyer Hasn't Returned Item
In February, I sold an item--cameo and gold chain--that I'd bought in Italy about 20 years ago. I truly believed the cameo, like the chain, was 14K white gold. The buyer advised me she brought it to a jeweler who told her it the cameo was set not in gold, but in a very unique silver so she wanted to return it--she offered to keep the chain at a discount in price but I told her I preferred having both back. Now, I'm new to ebay so maybe I did something wrong but the buyer initiated the return, I got a message from ebay asking about the refund, I put in comments that the refund would be fine once the product was returned and received. Apparently, no label was ever initiated. I followed up--several times--and it just seemed hopeless that ebay would provide the label. I asked if the buyer would return it to me and I'd reimburse her for shipping via Zelle, Paypal or even a check--and even said if she wanted to estimate the postage, I'd send the amount up front. The buyer asked for my address and I provided it. And nothing since. In fact, she's totally ignored four or five messages nicely asking the status. The other day I "reported" her and not a peep from ebay. I'm really starting to think this person has just swiped the piece... Any suggestions??? No idea what I did that made ebay refund the buyer and totally ignore my comment about approving the refund once the item was returned. AND THE EBAY MESSAGE CLEARLY SAID THEY'D PROVIDE THE BUYER WITH A LABEL which they never did...
