Global shipping for US to US???
I few times I have shipped an order to find that it shipped on the Global Shipping program. The order was shipped from the US to the US. I do not recall seeing a global option when I purchased the shipping label. Now the buyer has to wait about two weeks to get their order as the package is shipped to a processing center, processed, then shipped to them. Why is this happening?

Was it sent to an Authentication center, I don't see any recent sold items that would be authenticated?
What is the item number?
What address did it ship to? Go to your sold item and select print another label to see the address, just DON'T BUY another label.
Was the buyer located in one of the protectorates? Or what state was the buyer located in?

OP3 years agoIt was not sent to an authentication center. It was posting 385569215628 for an Ozzy Osbourne CD, shipped to Glendale Heights, IL, from Sacramento, CA. The only oddity is that the buyer selected USPS priority shipping, which cost more.

Glendale Heights Illinois is where the International Shipping Hub is for eBay. Does the buyer have an address other than Glendale Heights, IL. 60139-2080 ?
Maybe they entered a different address at checkout, buyers can do that and it's going international instead? Did you ask the buyer what their actual address they asked to ship to is? You can share contact information after a recent sale.
I want to try and help you get to the bottom of this mystery. 🙂 AND make sure it's not a mistake that needs reporting.

OP3 years agoOMG, I feel like such a dolt. I assumed the buyer's address was in IL because of the shipping label address. I did not know that was the Global Shipping center. I just looked at his profile. He is in Mexico. Now it all makes sense. Thanks for your help.

If you used to use the GSP then it went to Kentucky.
Now it goes to Illinois or sometimes the forwarding center in CA.
The new shipping program is called the eBay International shipping program and has a great benefit.... eBay handles ALL refund requests and refunds the buyer out their pocket and you keep the sale.
