Giving a refund and allowing buyer to keep item anyway.
My buyer contacted me about a flaw in the shirt that I'd missed. She was very gracious and we agreed on a full refund. I initiated the process and eBay granted it. She's been repaid. I told her to keep the item but she's been reminded by eBay's automated system to provide tracking for the return, a route we're not taking because the child's shirt doesn't have enough value to warrant return.
Can she just keep it, ignore the prompts and be unharmed by the process?? Neither of us wish to go through the expense or time of the return process.

Did you refund through the return request? That should have closed the return.
She can ignore the messages and the return will time out and close on its own, or she can close the return. Either way, no harm is done.
