Give discount because shipping was so expensive

Question

I sold a painting for $100, then gave the buyer 50% off because the packing and shipping was so much, I donâ€™t want eBay to hit me with fees based on the $100 I sold it for $50.00 but how do I notify eBay?

eBay now gives a fee credit for at least some partial refunds. You "notify" eBay by doing the refund through eBay. @johnnyrotten16 eBay will base the fees on the total actually received from the buyer, not the listing price. The total received includes the shipping and the tax.
