I'm seeing a virtual "gift card" amount when I go to bid on an item. But, I have no recollection or record of any giftcard received. Nor am I able to see the amount (over $30) in my account anywhere...

Did you check your Payments/Wallet for anything there:

MentorJul 9, 2026 at 12:33 PMThat sounds like it may be a remaining eBay gift card balance or account credit that is only appearing during checkout/bidding, rather than as a separate balance in your account.
If you win the auction, eBay may give you a chance before payment is completed to review the payment method and apply/remove gift cards or coupons. I would not post any gift card numbers or screenshots with codes here. If you do not recognize the balance and cannot trace it to a prior gift card, coupon, eBay Bucks/rewards credit, or previous partial use, the safest next step is to contact eBay Customer Support and ask them to review the credit showing at checkout on your account.
If it is legitimate, they should be able to explain what type of credit it is. If it is a display glitch, they can document that as well.
