Gift cards
I am a bit perplexed as to the limitations to specifically numismatics, when paying with a gift card. If a gift card has been paid for in its entirety, is it not sane as cash? For the coin collector, Ebay gift cards are useless? I don't get it. I was given a $75 gift card and now nit a single item I desire is eligible. I would have paid the other 115

OP5 months agoI appreciate the response. I was just a little confused as to why prohibit all numismatic collectibles? It just seems trivial. Didn't mean they are literally cash. It's all good

It likely has to do with money laundering regulations. I believe the intent is to prevent scammers and money launderers from converting gift cards into cash, directly or indirectly.

No, gift cards are not the same as cash.
Gift cards have limitations that cash does not have, but gift cards can be used online in ways that cash cannot.
Gift cards cannot be used to buy coins or bullion, among other things.
