Gift cards

Question

Hi, does anyone know whether there is a limit on the amount of gift cards you can add to your gift card balance in the US? I’ve read in some older pages that the limit is 4, but I was able to add 5 last time and have heard from people who were also able to add more than 4. I talked to an agent but their answer was ambiguous so I’m still unsure. Thank you

eBay has changed from adding cards directly to a transaction to adding cards to the eBay account; it is not clear how the old rules apply to the new process.

Previous rules were no more than four card numbers (less any coupons or vouchers) per transaction, and no more than $1000 per day or $1500 per month in gift card redemptions.

There may be limits on the number of cards that can be actively linked to an account, or the total amount the account can have linked at any given time, or the limits may be on linking a certain amount per day or per month.
