Gift Card Issues - Can Not Use because system issue with my address
To say that I am frustrated is to say the least. I had a gift card that eBay accepted, $200. I won an auction and went to pay - but it acted like I did not have a gift card balance. I ended up having to put the purchase on my credit card. Turns out eBay has flagged my home address as suspect and will not let me use my gift card if I ship to my home. After a bunch of calls, sending pictures of the card and receipt along with a hand written note, they "released" the gift card BUT ONLY FOR 7 DAYS. I feel forced by eBay to buy something in 7 days. I call again and they said yes you will have to call again after 7 days. I asked if I can call before I pay for something to make sure the gift card will work, NO. Wow ! Asked if they can fix the issue for future gift cards, maybe, he said he sent a note to IT . I asked how do I confirm the issue was corrected before using a future gift card, answer was only when you try and if it fails again or works. Any advice from someone on this ?
