How do I check my ebay gift card balance?

eBay no longer provides a way to check a gift card balance without linking it.
To see the balance, you must be signed in to an eBay account and add the gift card here:
https://www.ebay.com/gft/balance
You can also link it by using the code at checkout. Once added or used, the gift card becomes linked to that account and cannot be removed or transferred.
If the gift card is intended for someone else, do not enter the code. Give them the card or code so they can sign in to their own account and use it at checkout.
