Ghost Listings-Items with a quantity of one being relisted after sold
Hi everyone, I'm a 30 year veteran seller on eBay with over 6000 active listings. Most if not all are one of a kind items that when I list have a quantity of one. Since Fe 2026, I have had to cancel 9 items that somehow sold twice! I checked each initial listing and had a quantity of one. I called eBay last week and was transferred after 15 minutes to a listing specialist. After speaking to them for 10 minutes the call dropped and no one called me back. Today I called again, explained my situation, and again was directed to a listing agent, who after 15 minutes dropped the call! Has anyone had these glitches where Fixed Price listings with a quantity of one sell, and then eBay relists that same item under a different item number? Any help is appreciated...Kevin

You should report this to eBay using this specific method as they have been trying to track this down for a long time but need data to do so.
Note down the Item ID of the ghost listing.
If different, also record the Item ID of the original listing.
Utilize the feedback form located within the “Advanced Listing Tool” (pictured below), and include the following information:
1) Both Item IDs as mentioned earlier.
2) Include the phrase “ghost listing” in your feedback to help identify the issue to the right team.
3) Provide as much detail as possible about the listing and timeline to aid the investigation.
