Getting shanghied on shipping
I noticed on my selling account that I am getting charged TWICE for shipping. Once when Ebay takes the selling fee and then again from my seller's balance account. Anyone else notice this??? TIA

Mentor2 weeks agoWithout knowing what your selling account ID is, it's impossible to respond to your specific issue in this post.
Did your listing include buyer-paid shipping? Or did you list "free shipping" in those listings?
Assuming your buyer pays a shipping price, the buyer's payment to you -- through eBay -- includes the shipping price.
Many eBay sellers use Calculated Shipping in their listings, and they enter accurate package sizes and weights in their listings. eBay's system looks at the seller's zip code, the potential buyer's zip code, the package size and weight, then calculates and shows the appropriate shipping price to the buyer.
eBay then makes that shipping price available to you, the seller, so that you will use the buyer's shipping payment to buy the postage/label.
IF you, the seller, added accurate package sizes and weight to your listing, the amount paid by your buyer and the amount you spend on the delivery label should be exactly the same.
When you buy the postage through eBay and get the delivery label, you are spending the money that your buyer advanced.
As for eBay's selling fee, the Final Value Fee (FVF) is calculated as a percentage of the total amount paid by buyers.
That total amount includes the price of the item + shipping price shown in the listing + sales tax at the rate in effect in the zip code of the delivery address + any additional charges imposed by the state in the delivery address.
That FVF percentage varies among categories. The percentage used in most categories is 13.6%.
