Getting refunded promoted listing fees
A buyer asked me to cancel order because I didn’t inform them that they would have to pay sales tax, and they feel they were overcharged. I explained that I have no control over sales tax being collected by EBay, but they felt I should have informed them. I told them I would cancel order since they were dissatisfied. I go to cancel order, and it doesn’t appear EBay is refunding my promoted listing fees. I had no balance in my account prior to the order, and in order to refund buyer I have to pay eBay $40. How is that? I don’t want to add a payment method, I should not owe anything. It’s impossible to speak to a live employee for help
