Getting Paid at the End of the Auction
I have bought and sold on eBay since 1996. However, I have not done so in the last few years, so everything is new for me as a seller. I sold an item today and this is the message I received from eBay: "Congratulations on your sale! Your buyer, (name deleted) is still shopping. To give them time to shop, we’ll process their payment on Apr 06, 2026, unless they checkout early." I am totally confused! I have to wait until after April 6 (today is March 30) before I can receive my money for the item I sold because the buyer is still shopping!!! Apparently I can't just send an invoice to my buyer and expect to receive payment in a timely manner? Please help me understand this new way of selling!

Mentor5 months agoIf you have not sold for several years you need to know that eBay now uses the Managed Payments System for making payouts to sellers. You must verify a checking account with eBay in order to receive your payout. Payouts can no longer be made to a PayPal account.

OP5 months agoThank you. I tried to follow everything when I listed the item, but it really is different now. I have purchased a couple of things in the last year or so but can't remember if I verified a checking account for the payment. I probably paid with a credit card. How can I check if I have a verified checking account with eBay?
