Getting paid and Tax liability for using my personal account to sell something for a business

I used my personal account to sell a piece of machinery for $13,000 for a business I work at and when I get paid I will send the money to the business. It looks like Ebay will notify the IRS of the income and I will owe tax personally. Is there a way to change that?

No, you cannot change it since Ebay will send the 1099K to the account you used to sell the item.

I would advise explaining the situation to your tax accountant since it was related to your business.
