Mentor2 years agoPaying tax on an item at purchase is different from tax on income. You sold the item so that is income.
Did you read the fee schedule ahead of time? The fees are plainly stated. Are you including the shipping total in the fees? Again, those are two different things. Your funds will not be sent to you unless you add a checking account number. If not, they will be sent to your state's unclaimed funds.

Mentor2 years agoHi @customglovesusa
I’m sorry, but it can NOT be done.
PayPal no longer processes buyers’ payments for sellers. You MUST provide a checking account if you want to be paid.
many sellers have opened up a new, online, checking account to use just for selling. That way their personal checking account can remain private.
You can still use PayPal to pay for purchases on eBay … just not for processing payments.

OP2 years agoThanks,
I will no longer EVER use Ebay to sell products.
Just sold Cobra Irons came out to $470.00
I got sent to my bank $393.00. FEES were crazy high. DONE!!
Thats like stealing, now ebay will send me a 1099 tax for income, on items I have already paid taxes on.
I am done with this **bleep** from them.

If you are selling your own used items, you won't owe any tax unless you sell them for more than what you paid for them.
Any payment processor, including paypal, will send you a 1099k for receipts of $600 or more, since MD has a lower threshold than the federal minimum.
