Getting items returned to my address that I'm not associated with
Over the last 6 months eBay returns have been showing up to my home address. These returns/items have nothing to do with me or my account. The returns list return ids and item #'s that I don't recognize.
It almost seems like eBay is generating an incorrect shipping label for a valid return. And my address is on the shipping label by mistake.
There have been at least 6-7 of these, and another one just showed up today. It's typically jewelry or female clothing items.
I called ebay and messaged several buyers (when they happened to include their ebay ID in the box). Ebay said they'd look into it. But I haven't heard anything back.
Is this some scam using my address? Should I worry about this?

Mentor2 years agoSome other seller is using your address for his returns. It is probably an international seller that doesn’t have a US return address.
Contact customer service with the return IDs and tell them that the seller of that item has stolen your identity for his returns. I would contact customer service on social media - hey can take the time to route the problem to the correct department for resolution.
