Getting item returned after a refund
A buyer requested a return on an item and I refunded the money - even though I have a no return policy - but eBay was hitting me with these emails saying they were freezing my account. After the refund, of course, the buyer is not responding to my emails about getting the item returned to me. What’s my recourse here?

Mentor2 years agoWhen you received the returns request you had two options: accept the return which then gives the buyer a link to print out a return shipping label, or issue a refund. Since you issued the refund, the buyer can no longer print out a shipping label. If you want the item back, you can use Paypal or Pirateship.com to send the buyer a label for the item's return.

OP2 years agoThanks for the information. The problem is the buyer is not responding to my messages - thus, he now has the item for free. So far, eBay has been unable to assist me with this.
It does seem like they should at least suspend the buyer's account for essentially stealing from me. I'm getting nowhere with eBay.

OP2 years agoWhen I contacted eBay, they said to wait 72 hours as they'd contact the buyer.
When I came back to address the issue again after the allotted time, I get this: "This case is closed. The decision is final and can't be appealed."
