Getting help when a buyer doesn't return an item after receiving a refund
I'm hoping someone can help! A buyer requested to return an item. I approved it, refund issued, the buyer said they'll return the item but never did. The status of the return is closed and I can't find out where to get ebay to step in and help.

So you refunded before having the item returned and in your hands. You might have been well-meaning, but you were naïve to do so. I think that, if the buyer hasn't returned the item by now, s/he has no intention of returning it. I hope this lesson wasn't too expensive. Forget it and move on... no, check that; do not forget it. Remember this the next time a buyer wants to return an item for a refund. Even if you have to refund for a Not As Described, make the buyer return the item first. Who knows, they might not ever get around to it.
