Getting hacked
Why does eBay let our bank account information get hacked? I'll never order anything from eBay again. Two times I ordered something and both times I was hacked. Never again, thanks eBay

Mentor1 year agoWhat makes you think it was eBay that "let [your] account information get hacked"? What information was compromised, exactly? Was eBay the only place where this information was available?
Hacking accounts is typically a crime of opportunity, and if it has happened to you more than once, chances are the weak link is on your end: your device, your network, your security.
If the problem were on eBay's end or your bank's end, everyone's account would be hacked, not just yours.
If you assume the problem is on eBay's end and it is not, you may be leaving yourself vulnerable, whether you use eBay or not.
Scan your device for malware or remote access, change your passwords including your email password.

OP1 year agoIDK I'm not here to argue. My research shows that it happens to a lot of people who order from eBay. My bank said it came from that transaction

I am not here to argue either. I am not trying to convince you to use eBay if you do not feel safe doing so.

How many is "a lot"? Consider how that number compares to the number of active eBay users, which is on the order of a hundred million people.
My bank said it came from that transaction
"From the transaction" does not necessarily mean "from eBay". eBay was not the only party involved in that transaction, even if the bank is correct.

OP1 year agoI have no issues with any other places I ordered from. I'll just never use eBay anymore.

We aren’t eBay. We don’t care where you shop. We are here to give people factual information … not to argue. Please do whatever you want.
I personally don’t feel any less safe using eBay than handing my credit card to a local merchant. I’ve gotten hacked occasionally over the years. My bank (Chase) told me they cannot tell from where my information was pilfered. I have my card info stored in numerous places.
