getting email notifications of buyer offers
I have been an ebay member for 2 decades. In the past, if a buyer made an offer I was notified in my email of the offer. Lately I have missed quite a few offers because I have not been notified. Is there a setting that somehow got changed? What can I do to fix this. I would have to say that 75% of my sales have been through offers, so this is really hurting

OP9 months agoI went back to your site again and noticed that you don't allow offers. How can you possibly know what I am experiencing? Tell me again how I can check on my offers without getting email notices.

How can I know? I know because I've been selling (over 70,000 items) and volunteering time to answer questions here for over 21 years now. In that time, I've kept up with the policies and procedures pretty well by now.
No, you don't have to check each item. Just check your Seller Hub. See screenshot below:
You'll see a count for each category to the right.
As already advised, whether a seller accepts offers or not, they need to check their Seller Hub at least once a day to find out if they have sales, shipments to send out, messages to respond to, disputes to address, feedback to take action on, seller metrics to review, etc.
Hope that helps!

OP9 months agoI went to your site. I see that you have over a thousand items for sale. How do you know if you have an offer on one of your items? Do you check each item? Every day? Or don't you allow offers at all?

OP9 months agoso you are telling me that in order to see if I have received any offers, I need to check the review all offers button on each of my items everyday. I have around 50 items for sale at any one time. That's an impossible task. Do you do it?
What changed?

OP9 months agoThank you for your reply. I have checked my preferences several times. I can understand an occasional glitch, but this has been going on for months. I think the last offer I was notified of was in September. Not only am I losing money, but so is ebay.
Any other thoughts?

You won't be losing any money if you check your eBay account at least once daily.
If this was a site-wide issue, this board would be flooded with posts about it...particularly if it had been going on for months, but that's not the case.
If you like however, you can post to the Technical Issues board. In the past, eBay has checked that board, though I don't see any recent posts from them so I don't know if they've stopped or taken a hiatus for the holidays.
Here's a link if you want to try:

Mentor9 months agoHi @crazzzytrain
While receiving the email notifications is nice, sellers should be checking their accounts at LEAST once a day (preferably more often than that) so they don't miss offers, sold items, buyer messages, etc.
Occasionally eBay has a hiccup that causes notifications not to be sent or to be delayed and occasionally the problem is with the email provider (check your spam folder or other folders if you forward messages to them).
