Getting a refund
If I purchase an item on eBay and the seller clearly says no returns....... is this item backed by eBay if it does not function as advertised? For example it's an electronic item and if it doesn't work, it's useless junk. Even though the original seller doesn't want it back, does eBay back my purchase and refund my money if the item does not function properly.

Mentor2 years agoHi @miles2106
For items not received or not as described, you have eBay's Money Back Guaranteed (see the link on the item listing).
If you received an item that is not as described, you have up to 30 days to open a return using the option next to the transaction in your Purchase History. The seller will have 3 business days to provide a prepaid return shipping label or else refund. If he does neither, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.

OP2 years agoForgot one more part of this question: 30 days from when I placed my order or 30 days from when I received my item. Sometimes it takes a number of days to get an item. Sometimes weeks if it is shipped from a long distance away.
Thanks again for your help
