getting a live customer service
June 26 I was trying to purchase a jewelry tool for less than $9 from EBAY. Somehow a Square Trade Protection Plan was listed as being purchased instead. I tried to contact EBAY who said I had NOT purchased anything on EBAY and they "assumed" I had clicked on the Protection Plan instead of the item to purchase. EBAY of course could not cancel the mispurchased protection plan and I had to contact Square Trade. I went through chat bots who were not programmed to answer my questions and kept referring me to websites for Q and A. Finally today I got a live person after going through all the programming at Square Trade. The Customer Service Agent who apologized but went through his standard spill as if I had bought this plan. HE (Square Trade) cancelled the plan and told me it was for an item that cost $199.95! He could NOT tell me what it was for and referred me back to EBAY.
Is there any way to get removed from any and all information lists that EBAY and Square Trade have for me and to get a live person to tell me what's going on. NO charge of $199.95 is on a verified credit card YET. I could NOT get a corporate mailing address for Square Trade and going to write to ALLState who is the "cover".
