Get postage refund when label was not offered.
Summary: corlanjohnson described an issue with a seller regarding a refund for postage costs after returning a purse that was not genuine leather. Despite getting the original cost refunded, the $15.10 return shipping was not covered. The seller claimed to be waiting for a platform refund for an unused label. corlanjohnson attempted to resolve the matter through the platform's support but faced difficulties in reaching a human representative, suggesting that the seller could simply reimburse them directly.
When I told the buyer that the purse she sent was not real leather (and had other signs of not being genuine), she said to send it back. She did not mention a label. I sent it back promptly. My original cost was refunded, but not the $15.10 I spent to send it back. She said that she was waiting for Ebay to refund her for the (unused) label. I have communicated with her, tried the Ebay site and got sent in circles to AI. Is there any way to talk to a person? The seller could just send me a check or money order.

Mentor1 month agoNever pay for a return if it was the seller's mistake. Ebay can not refund the money you spent at USPS for the return. If you opened a return and seller had ebay send a return label, that label is not charged to the seller unless used. So there is no refund going back to the seller for it.
Afraid ebay can not help you, you will have to rely on the seller being honest by sending you a refund by PayPal. Reserve your feedback until you see what the seller does.
