GET PAID FOR EBAY SALES

Question

I dont use debit cards; useless since they give access to my bank account. I see NO REASON to give Ebay my SS#.

Why is Gods name can't I get paid via Venmo or another app for selling something on Ebay? Also, I can't get them to answer if I can have my account credited from sales on ebay (I'd be fine with that...).

I see you have 2 items already listed for sale, just curious if you were made aware of the Payout requirements prior to creating those listings?

Millions of Sellers have provided the information eBay (and other online sales venues) require to comply with the IRS and how eBay and Adyen, their payment processor, are set up to send Sellers their money.

If you are not interested in getting payments sent to your checking account (for free) then selling on eBay should not be pursued. You do NOT need a Debit card to get paid, just a checking account.

Ebay is required by federal law to ask for your personal data for tax reporting reasons. You will not be able to receive your sales unless you provide the data that eBay is required by law to obtain.

Ebay does have a Spendable Funds program. With that a Seller can use their sales to spend on eBay. But eBay needs to invite you to enroll and even then, it will not absolve you from providing your personal data.
