get customer service support on ebay

Question

I have place two orders within the past 2 weeks. Both times the address listed in both EBay and Pay Pal was incorrect. I went to both accounts and listed the correct address (for the 2nd time) after the first order. The second order was still sent to the incorrect address. I cannot find a link for customer service to either chat or speak to a live person. I have purchased from EBay for years and have been a good customer. But, the struggle to access customer service and correct problems just not...

In your Site Preferences for Ebay, there are a few places to put your address. Make sure all of the areas have the correct address. Also know when you are purchasing an item, you can type in the address you want the item to ship to if you want.

You would have seen the shipping address when you were on the checkout page and you could have corrected it at that point before you submitted your payment. Once payment is submitted, the shipping address can NOT be changed. The seller is required to ship your order to the shipping address you provided at the time of payment. Contacting Ebay customer service will not get the address changed for an order you already placed.It is the buyer's responsibility to keep addresses updated.

You can try to contact the seller and ask if they have not shipped yet they could cancel the transaction so you can re-purchase the item using the correct shipping address at checkout.

@lgro9102 You can change addresses on the checkout page. Also you should follow these steps to update the address in your eBay account settings. The PayPal address has nothing to do with eBay shipping.

Other members have reported that the address correction is not "sticking" unless they do these steps>

ADD a new address and THEN delete the old one in account settings.
