Hi, A garment arrived damaged today and I contacted the seller immediately. She says it was sent in perfect condition and that I damaged it when I was unwrapping it. I have asked her for a refund but she has refused. I don't know what to do. Who can help?

Due to Ebay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers, you can file a Return Request.

Go to your Purchase History, find the item, and under â€œMore actionsâ€ click on â€œReturn itemâ€ and select the reason for the return. â€œdamaged". Attach a photo.
The seller will have 3 business days to either accept the return and provide a prepaid return shipping label OR refund without having you return the item.
If they don't do either, you can go back to your Return Request details 4 business days after you filed the Request and ask Ebay to step in.

Thanks so much. I have requested a refund as it is faulty and eBay have processed a refund for the damaged item. But, the seller has messaged me saying that she refuses to refund me and to let eBay decide? I have submitted a report? I can't see a place which gives me the option for eBay to step in. Really appreciated your help on this, truly grateful. Does she have the right to refuse or will eBay automatically refund me? She says she will contest it and wants eBay to decide. She is now saying that I DAMAGED THE ITEM as I UNWRAPPED IT!!!!

After 3 business days have passed since you filed the Return Request, you can ask Ebay to step in to help you.

Find the item in your Purchases.
Select See return details.
Select Ask eBay to step in and help.
Select a reason from the dropdown menu, then select Confirm.

Hi thank you,

itâ€™s saying that the item has been refunded and there is no other option even though 3 days have now passed. I still have the item and the seller is refusing the refund so I canâ€™t find anywhere to ask eBay to step in?

If ebay states that you have been refunded, it sounds like ebay has refunded from the seller's funds, and the returns request is now closed. You will be refunded to the funding source. You may dispose of the dress however you like.
