Funds taken from my account for a canceled item that I was never paid for.

Question

I am a seller who had to cancel an item that I no longer had in stock. I was not paid by eBay for the canceled item but funds were taken out of my checking account for the buyer. Is this a standard policy by Ebay?

Sellers have to fund any Cancellations from your funds. You will be reimbursed when the payout for that order is completed. I changed my payment method for seller fees from checking account to a credit card so I don't have to worry about what my checking account balance is.
