funds on hold, but can't update my social security number
I keep getting asked, day after day, to update my social security number to get paid. I do, but the next day same thing again. So frustrating. Anybody else run into this and if so what was the fix? Appreciate the assist.

Send a private message with your name, ebay user ID, email address, and briefly explain your problem. Someone will contact you in a couple of days.

Mentor4 months ago@stjamesplace2015 I understand that this is frustrating. Since we are volunteers we can only offer advice.
You will need to contact eBay customer service for assistance from #3
However I recommend checking a few things as eBay will NOT tell you what doesn't match for security reasons.
1. Verify that the name and address on your eBay account matches your checking account and government ID EXACTLY. I had to had my middle name to my eBay account so it would match my checking account and drivers license. You will need to provide your SS#. You can not use a PO box for your registration address as seller but you can use it for your ship from and to addresses.
2. Make sure the ACH routing number is the correct one to use for these type of deposits. Verify this with your bank.
3. Contact Customer service ( this contact method should connect you with the Managed Payments Department)

Then Type Verify Checking account in the chat bot box on the lower right. (Do not add any additional information)
Then AGENT after the bot responds. You might have to repeat those steps.

OP4 months agoThank you so very much for the advice. I added my middle name, even though it says it's optional, and this morning I see I have a payment heading to my way.
I don't know it that alone will work for everyone, but it sure looks like it's going to work for me. Thanks again!!!
