Full refund for item not as described
I received an item that was defective. It was not as described by the seller. The seller said if I returned the item, that they would give me a full refund. I expected that to include a refund for the original shipping cost, since I paid the ship the item back to the seller. I received a refund today but only for the amount I paid for the item itself. Not the original shipping cost. Should the seller refund me for the original shipping cost?

Did you open a return request? If yes, what reason did you select? If you had selected not as described, the seller would have been required to pay the return shipping as well as refund the original shipping.
If you did not open a request, or selected some other reason, eBay cannot help you get a refund for the original shipping. Call your credit card issuer and have them open a dispute for the balance of the purchase since the item was not as described.
