FREE SHIPPING OR NOT?
Hello. I wonder why this happens on eBay, a product is listed for sale by a specific seller, and it has free shipping, I offer a lower price and take into account that it has free shipping within the United States, a few days pass and the seller agrees to the price I offer, but here an additional charge appears during payment and this additional charge is the delivery fee, this has been happening for several times, please look into these fraudulent schemes, this is ruining the reputation of eBay as the best reliable buying and selling platform. If a delivery fee is added to an item for sale, the seller should indicate this from the beginning, and not during payment. This is exactly what happened with my last purchase

OP8 months agoMinnesota and Colorado are not where they are supposed to ship my purchase. This has happened several times before, where the item is offered with free shipping and then when the seller agrees to the price I offered, the shipping fee is added to the payment. This happened with my last purchase and I paid the fee with the shipping fee, which was not initially indicated as paid shipping. I did not complete the previous purchase because of exactly this fraudulent scheme, and I paid this one so that I would have proof in case eBay were interested.

If you're saying that the seller adds a delivery fee in situations you've described -- that's not supposed to happen on eBay.
I don't know how a seller is able to add such a fee of his/her own accord.
Here is another possibility: Are your purchases being delivered to either Minnesota or Colorado?
Those two states currently require buyers to pay a delivery fee, when the delivery address is within either of those states.
I believe Minnesota charges a sliding fee based on the total purchase amount, but Colorado charges 28 cents (per eBay's User Agreement, which might possibly be out-of-date?) on everything and anything delivered into Colorado. Even if you are in Colorado and buy from a seller in Colorado, you will be charged that fee.
If your purchases are not being delivered to either Minnesota or Colorado, the next time you see an additional "delivery" fee, I suggest you do not proceed with the transaction. You can click on the down arrow in the listing and report the transaction to eBay. Because, on eBay, sellers aren't supposed to add delivery charges or extra postage charges just before the buyer is ready to pay.
